Form: Herbaceous; up to 3ft. tall.

Identifying Features: 5 yellow petals, 10 stamens; compound leaves resemble shamrocks, and leaflets are grouped in threes.

Trivial Facts: Often called "sourgrass" due to its bitter taste; consuming an excess amount of the leaves can be toxic due to levels of oxalic acid. Leaves and flowers close at night.
