Form: Herbaceous, perennial, stem up to 3 feet. Origins: Native Identifying Features: Numbers yellow flowerheads. Basal leaves that are elliptical to lance-shaped. Leaves are pinnately lobed and toothed. Trivial Facts: Poisonous and may cause liver damage if consumed; however, it was still used by female Indians to relieve the pain of birth. |
