Form: Large shrub; up to 20ft.. Origins: Native Identifying Features: Leaves pinnately compound with saw-toothed, hairless, almost stalkless leaflets. Twigs gray with whitish bloom. Trivial Facts: The sour seed of the Smooth Sumac can bee chewed to quench thirst or prepared as a drink similar to lemonade. |
