1) If the molecular weight of a molecule is 67, how would you make 200 ml of a 0.25 M solution?
2) How do you make 80 ml of a 14.5% w/v solution with a substance that has a molecular weight of 32?
3) What is the molarity of 17% solution of NaCl? (MW = 58.5)
4) How do you make 500 mL of a 1.7 M solution with a substance that has a molecular weight of 122.2?
5) Make a solution that is 32 g of NaCl and final volume of 215 mL
A) What is the w/v percentage of this solution?
B) What is the molarity of this solution?
C) How could you make 5 mL of a 5% NaCl solution if you had to use your solution from A above?
D) What would the molarity be of the solution in C?
6) Lastly, the head of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) has emailed me and wants to know something. He asked me to find out how to make 2 L of solution that is 2.5 M NaCl and 0.3 M of substance X with a molecular weight of 54. The entire cancer research arm of the NIH is waiting for this solution so please help me figure it out.
