This painting was created in 2000 by Julie Newdoll and is titled "FAS Sisters Recieving a Death Signal." Each woman standing in the water represents a FAS protein on the cell surface. The three women are brought together by three ravens, which represent the homotrimeric FAS ligand. The image is displayed with the permission of the artist. Mixed Cryoglobulinemia

This image of a patient's foot clearly shows several symptoms of mixed cryoglobulinemia. The symptoms include purpura, a purple rash due to blood vessel damage, skin lesions, and discoloration due to chronic inflammation.
