1) Go to the TIGR CMR (Comprehensive Microbial Resource) web site, then choose “Align Whole Genomes”.
2) Choose from the two pull down menus Haemophilus influenzae 86 028NP and Mycoplasm genitalium G-37 with a minimum alignment of 20 nt. Do these two genomes look like they evolved from a common ancestor in the recent past?
3) You can increase the sensitivity by changing the minimum alignment to 15 nt to see if this help you.
