This web page is part of an assignment for the renowned Dr. Malcolm Campbell, professor of
genomics and molecular biology at Davidson College.  A real pioneer,
he is leading the charge to bring genomics to undergraduates.  He also
demands that his students be somewhat fluent with HTML.

Click here to see how a new protein, resistin,
is helping us understand the link between
diabetes mellitus and obesity.

Because resistin was only recently discovered in January 2001,
the whole resistin gene has not been sequenced.
However, if you would like to see the amino
acid and cDNA sequence for resistin,

Click here to hear all I have to say about the role sec18 plays
in yeast.

Click here to hear my predictions on YAL011w, an ORF of
unknown function in yeast.

Click here to see some microarray clustering of YAL011w
with some other genes

Click here to see some microarray clustering of sec18;
see previous link for a general background on sec18 before proceeding

Click here to see a proteomics-type analysis of sec18

Click here to see a proteomics-type analysis of Yal011w
