Research Assistant (1995-present). Neuroscience Lab,
Davidson College.
Performed behavioral studies to determine the influence of septal
AChE sprouting on recovery of memory function. Head investigator
for pilot study on proline injections into the brain for behavioral
and tract-tracing studies. Currently investigating the effects
of AIT-082 and bFGF on sprouting in the rat hippocampal formation
at various time points.
Howard Hughes Medical Institute Research Internship (Summer
1997). Davidson College.
Examined effects of purine analog (AIT-082) in the damaged hippocampal
formation.
Research Assistant (Summer and Fall 1997). Forsyth Memorial
Hospital.
Reviewed and researched bibliography for Oncogenes and Molecular

Investigated the effects of various anti-coagulant pharmacotherapies
(coumadin vs. tyclopidine) on rate of recovery following stent
implantation in high and low-risk patients.

Hospital.
Assistant to Dr. Circle Line. Exposed to doctor-patient relationship
on hospital rounds, in practice, and in pro bono child development
clinic. Received preliminary training in EEG assessment.
