Research Assistant - for Dr. Anne T. Insect, Davidson College. June 1996- August 1996. Responsibilities: assistance in collection of ant nests, sustaining ant nests in the lab, censusing ant nests, performing behavioral aggression tests to determine colony boundaries.

Benthic Aquatic Macroinvertebrate Technician - Duke Power Environmental Labs, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. October 1997 - present. Responsiblities: censusing samples of lake sediment for aquatic invertebrates.
