PubMed/ Medline covers many journals back to 1964 BUT not as strong on the ecology and plant journals
Nature Publishing Group you must register (for free), gives access to a number of their sites and certain specialty articles and can search all of their journals (Including Nature, the Nature Reviews Series and Nature Biotechnology)
